Step 1. | Open Excel and select the portfolio you would like to import. Once the file is open in Excel, arrange the columns in the following order: Name, Symbol, Action, Shares, Price, Commission, and Date. Please adhere to the following restrictions: Note: To alter the existing format of the spreadsheet or column, highlight the required data and select the Format menu on the toolbar. Choose Cells, and you will be able to alter the format of dates and numbers by selecting the appropriate category |

Step 2. | After the necessary formatting is complete, check Save As feature under the File tab on the toolbar. | |||

Step 3. |
On this screen, you will be prompted to provide a name and location for the file you're exporting. The file name should not exceed 20 characters. You will also need to select CSV (MS-DOS) (*.csv) option in the Save as type drop-down menu. Please write down the directory and file name before you save your portfolio. This information will be needed during the import process. Once you have written down the necessary information, click OK to save the file to your local directory. |

Step 4. | You are now ready to import your portfolio into Morningstar.com. Return to the import function in Portfolio Manager and continue the import process. | |||
