In the latest release, the Portfolio Manager team has worked to streamline the design and improve functionality in order for you to get the most out of this powerful tool.

We've improved portfolio navigation with a user-friendly toolbar—Create, Modify, View, Tools, Alerts, and Help—to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for.

New functionality automatically notifies users of new dividends and splits relating to their portfolio. Plus, a newly-added reconcile feature will allow customers to validate historical distributions against Morningstar's data.

Whether you want to create a new portfolio or import new data into an existing portfolio, the Import wizard makes it simple.

Choose the import method that works for you:
• Upload an existing file
• Copy and paste your data into the clipboard for quick upload
• Manually enter the holdings data you want in your portfolio

In just a few simple steps, you can create a new or update an existing portfolio.

We've doubled the number of custom "My View" reports so you can slice and dice your portfolio in up to four different data tables. You customize your reports by choosing from over 200 data points and arranging the data in the order that will allow you to best manage your portfolio.

We've added four new data points to the custom view to provide you with additional insights into your Portfolio Manager. New data points include:

• Bear Market Rank for Funds and Stocks
• Management Fees
• 3-year EPS from Continuing Operations
• Debt/Total Capitalization - Year 1,2,3
• Pre-market and After hours
• NAV and % Premium/Discount
• Realized Gain/Loss Since Purchase

One-click functionality allows you to export your data from your view pages to Microsoft Excel. This new feature gives you the flexibility to be able to manipulate, format and print your reports outside of Portfolio Manager.

Just click on the “Export” icon or choose “Export Current View” from menu and you can export from any of the following views: Snapshot, Intraday, Gain/Loss, Fundamental, or My Views.

News content is sorted by holding, date and source to make it fast and easy for you to review the news that impacts your portfolio.

The expanded Help section now includes "how to" videos and support contacts to provide you with added user support.

We've added new functionality to recall your preferences as you navigate through the tracking views. Portfolio Manager will now remember and preserve your:

• Column sorting preferences
• Expand/Collapse preference for the Latest News section

Real-time quotes are now available on Portfolio Manager. Now when you load your portfolio, you'll see intraday-related prices updated automatically - no page refresh required.

To make it easy to manage your portfolio, the column titles are frozen on the top of the screen as you scroll down your portfolio holdings.

Now you can set target sell/buy prices on your securities in Portfolio Manager! In "Customize My View", add the target prices data point (Target sell price and Target buy price) to your custom view. Once added, simply double-click on the corresponding cells in the view page to set/edit your target prices.

You can now hide closed positions (a share balance of 0) without having to delete them from your tracking views. Just choose "Hide Closed Positions" from the View menu on your toolbar. And since the positions are saved, you can always access them by clicking "Show Closed Positions" on the toolbar.

We've added sorting capabilities to one of our popular X-Ray pages: Stock Intersection. Now you can sort by underlying stocks holdings, tickers, % of Portfolio Net Assets and Market Value.

Now you can name your custom views. Once you are in any of four custom views, simply double click on the view name to change it.

We've added support to enable you to track cash flow in your transaction portfolio(s). You can link your transactions with your cash accounts to monitor inflows and outflows. For new portfolios, just check “Track Cash Flows” next to the Portfolio Name. If you want to retrofit an existing portfolio, choose “Organize Portfolio” from the Modify drop down, then click to enable in the “Track Cash Flows” column for the portfolio(s) you choose.

Now you can simply double click on your Portfolio name to make changes. Once you are in Organizing Portfolio page (Modify->Organize Portfolio), simply double click on any of the portfolio names to edit.

One-click functionality allows you to print from all of your views pages. Just click on the “Print” icon or choose “Print” from menu to try your printable version.

We've made design changes to improve color contrasting in all of the following views: Snapshot, News & Opinion, Intraday, Gain/Loss, Fundamental, or My Views.

The long, short and Net Asset allocation breakdowns are now included in the following pages: X-Ray Overview, X-Ray Details, X-Ray interpreter and Instant X-Ray.

We've added new Insights View in Portfolio Manager to give premium user access to Morningstar's proprietary data points.

We've provided options (Default Method or Adjusted Method) for users to set their cost basis settings. For more information or to change your settings, select the Cost Basis Settings option from the Views menu of the main Portfolio Manager page.

Portfolio Monitor—Your monthly portfolio performance statement delivered direct to your inbox. Sign up for a monthly report or generate reports on the fly. Get a summary of your portfolio's performance, including top contributors and detractors, a breakdown of your current asset, sector, region, and investment style allocation, as well as a digest of all the latest Morningstar Analyst Research available for your holdings. Portfolio Monitor is a benefit of Premium Membership.

Premium users can now track twice as many holdings in their portfolios. Thanks to a recent upgrade, you can now add 200 fund or stock holdings, 40 cash, and 40 bond holdings to a single portfolio. This upgrade is only available in the new Portfolio Manager, not the classic version.

You can now adjust column width for every data point in your views and it will stay.

You can now reorder data points by simply clicking the column and dropping it right where you
want it.

You can now personalize your Portfolio Manager to the way you want.
•  Font sizes can be chosen from larger to more compact
•  Five choices for the row colors are available, including the classic yellow and more.
•  Choose decimal places for some of the data points
•  Options to enable or disable the real time quote and corporate action notification

You can set options for each of your portfolios instead of using the same option for everything.
•  Choose your preferred benchmark index
•  Hide or show closed position
•  Choose default method or adjusted method for your cost basis

Now you can include your cash holdings in the "My Performance" portfolio return calculations. If you've accurately tracked your cash flows, including reinvesting interest deposits, and have a positive balance in your cash account(s), click the "Include Cash" box to refresh the page with cash as a holding in the portfolio return calculations.

Now you can receive dividends also in cash when you enable "Track Cash Flow". To do so, please proceed to Organize Portfolio screen and then enable cash flow tracking. Once that is complete, please navigate to Dividends/Splits page and you will be able to either reinvest dividends or receive the payments in cash and apply to your portfolio. Another new feature is that when recording dividends, you now have the ability to apply all dividends for the current holding, or individually as before. You'll find this enhancement on the "Dividends/Splits" page.
